It is with regret, we inform you that Mr.K.Shanmuganathapillai, former Principal and old boy of JCC, passed away on Sunday, December 23rd , 2018 at the age of 82 years. Mr. Mr.K.Shanmuganathapillai was the principal at JCC during mid 90’s..

Mrs. Ariyamalar Balachandramoorthy
It is with deep grief, we inform you of the demise of Mrs. Ariyamalar Balachandramoorthy, mother of Late Shyamalan and Nimalan. She left for her heavenly abode on 13th August 2018.

Mrs. Balachandramoorthy taught English at JCC during the 80’s and affectionately called as “Moorthy Teacher” by all the students.

Bereavement Notice - Yarl Ramanan
It is with great sadness, we inform you, the passing away of the famous music composer of Jaffna and the best guitarist of Jaffna, Yarl Ramanan on Thursday, August 9, 2018. Ramanan studied at JCC from 1965 to 1976. Ramanan who is a great guitarist performed number of programs at central during late 70’s and 80s.
Yarl Ramanan, who had been famous for music for over thirty years, has also composed the songs of the Revolution. He attracted fans through thousands of musical halls in Jaffna and worked with senior musicians and broadcaster artists. He has worked as a prominent artist at various bands during the period.
He worked with the famous composer, music director Deva of Tamilnadu. He had a great deal of music in the Yarl Ramanan Pattukku Pattu, which was a major part of early musical ventures. He was named as Yarl Ramanan by the famous announcer B.H Abdul Hameed.
He will be missed by all who knew him. Our deepest sympathies go out to his friends and family at this time. Funeral services for Yarl Ramanan will be held in Jaffna.

OBITUARY ANNOUNCEMENT: MR.SRIGUGAN SRISKANDARAJA
We are very sad to inform you that Srigugan Sriskandaraja, one of the founding presidents and long-time senior staff and ardent community worker passed away in Toronto, Canada.
When the second generation of Tamil immigrants started coming to Canada in 1982, Mr. Srigugan Sriskandaraja (Son of former Sri Lankan supreme court justice Late Sriskandaraja) played a major role in obtaining the special status for Tamils to settle in Canada. This paved the way for Tamils to establish themselves as one of the most successful communities in Canada.
The viewing is scheduled to be on Sunday October 16th and final services will be on Monday October 17th at Chapel Ridge funeral home. Please share this message to the Canadian Central college community and beyond.
